MY SCHOOL

A Year at Rinnovata Pizzigoni

Directed by Renata Tardani - 60'

In 1927 Giuseppina Pizzigoni created a public school that is still an example of excellence in Milan: with classrooms open to the garden, a swimming pool, soccer and basketball fields, and a farm with a vegetable garden, greenhouse, and domestic animals, children can learn not by listening but by doing, not by accumulating information but by becoming active protagonists.

The heart of the film is the adventure that takes place every day at Rinnovata, its protagonists are the children of VD and their teachers.

The film was presented at various festivals, screened in cinemas, schools and libraries and aired on Italian-speaking Switzerland Television.
